In this project, "Sisal: The Oracle" I worked as a Lead UX Designer and UX Researcher on a team of five. This user-centric lottery app was designed to make the waiting experience more engaging and emotionally positive for users, especially those with superstitious beliefs.

1. User-Centered Design Approach
We embraced a user-centered design approach, prioritizing the needs and preferences of our users. Extensive UX research, including interviews, digital ethnography, and shadowing, guided our design decisions.
2. Added Sections
Multiple ways to predict lucky numbers: to choose them based on dreams, interpreted from the Napolitan Smorfia, or horoscope. Adding options like Lucky Mix and Frequent Numbers, and proposed "La Sisalina," a step-by-step guide to make the app clearer and easier to use.
3. Rebranding and Visual Appeal
In collaboration with the team, we initiated a rebranding effort to give the app a fresh and appealing look. This involved adopting a new visual identity that resonated with our target users, especially those with superstitious beliefs.
4. Waiting and Winning
Additionally, the "Waiting and Winning" feature
ensures users always win something, either coins or rewards, while waiting for results.
In conclusion, Sisal - The Oracle is the result of a comprehensive UX design effort to improve the lottery waiting time experience while addressing the challenges of frequent losses and catering to users with superstitious beliefs. Our solution not only enhances the visual appeal but also creates a more engaging, user-friendly, and rewarding lottery experience. By offering advice and rewards, we aim to reduce the emotional impact of losses and ensure a seamless transition from retail to digital.
